Bing is Google's main competitor as I have said, Bing gets approximately 6% of uses compared to Google's 90%. This looks like a big difference, but when you compare it to Yahoo's 2% it is alot. Bing's Logo has developed a lot over the past ten years. They started off with a blue and yellow logo that holds a serif font that curves around to give a friendly look. Then they had an all yellow logo with a more relaxed font and a b symbol. Now, the more recent one is a green version of the yellow one but with a capital B. I like the original and I do not think that they needed to change the logo as much as they have.       

In the 2009 logo, there is a yellow dot above the i. It could connote light or something actually going 'BING'  

Bing's ETHOS is to create a new infrastructure with a goal of delivering a faster and slightly more relevant search result. After never really using Bing, I dont really think that it is very good but The branding and colours within this branding are very good. I particularly like the blue logo rather than the yellow or green logo. 

Their target audience will also be everyone in the world, like google. However i do not think they ave reached all of those people like google have. I think that this could have been done by creating a more generic logo that is more easily more recognizable like google is. What I believe that google should take from Bing is to have a slogan, Bing has ' Bing is foe doing' this makes it catchy and rememberable.
