Google - Client Profile

Client Profile

Google is a massive search engine known all around the world. It was founded by Larry Page and Sergi Brin in September 1998. Google was a revelation in how the internet was seen in the late 90s into the early 2000s. The current CEO is now Sundar Pichai who was made CEO of this huge organisation in 2015. He is a 45 year old Indian American business executive with a net worth of $1.2 billion.

Google is not only a search engine. It is also Gmail, Calendar, google plus, Hangouts, maps and many, many more. With the rise of mobile phones and social media over the last ten years, Google has had to adapt to meet the consumers need for organisation and convenience on their mobile phones. This includes voice recognition and search. I think that this is a good thing and allows people to use their mobile phones in a shorter time, leaving time for other things.

Google occasionally changes their Logo on special days or events in the year. For example, on easter, it will be an easter logo, halloween, Christmas, Mothers day and Fathers day. It changes for a day then goes back to the generic logo see below for images.

Veterans Day 2017.

131st anniversary of the hole punch.

This is for Chilldren's day 2017.

Target Audience

Google's target audience cannot be defined to a specifics. It is literally everyone on the planet. This makes it very difficult to market for in terms of attracting a target audience. On this website below is a great article on this. http://www.bandt.com.au/marketing/everybody-on-the-planet-is-our-target-audience-google-marketing-boss. I think that this is one of the things that make Google what it is and how they advertise their services. They mainly advertise their services online and on social media like Facebook and twitter which is a really good way of doing this because you can guarantee more people will see it on there than on a billboard on a busy road somewhere. On this link, i have sourced a great page of random facts about google. https://www.scoopwhoop.com/google-facts/#.nrsnde949
